This statement applies to the website at petercreatesuk.com, operated by Peter Puchniarz trading as Peter Creates UK.

2. Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is an ongoing commitment and a working target, not a certification or an audited conformance claim.

3. What we have done

• Semantic headings, landmarks and a single main region on each page.
• Keyboard-operable navigation, dialogs, carousels and forms, with visible focus styles.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and empty alt text on decorative images.
• Form labels, hints and error messages linked programmatically to their fields.
• Status messages announced politely to screen readers where content updates without a page change.
• Colour contrast checked against the dark theme, with information never conveyed by colour alone.
• Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets, and layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling.
• Motion kept subtle and reduced automatically when the operating system requests reduced motion.
• Video content provided with English captions.

4. Known limitations

• Some third-party embedded content may not fully meet the same standard.
• Long-form articles use complex layouts that we continue to test with screen readers.
• Documents or images supplied by third parties may lack full text alternatives.

Where we identify a problem in our own pages, we fix it as part of normal maintenance rather than waiting for a scheduled review.

5. Reporting a problem

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, email petercreatesuk@gmail.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and respond in full within five working days.

6. Alternative formats

If a page is not accessible to you, we will provide the information in another reasonable format — for example plain text by email — at no cost.

7. Enforcement

If you are not happy with our response, you can raise it under our complaints procedure. In the UK, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can also advise on accessibility rights.
